Overview

A points series is something that takes place twice a year at RCR. The first begins in the spring, and we have another that starts in the fall. A succession of eight race events are held. Drivers are awarded points based on their finish of each respective event.

At the end of the eight weeks of racing, each driver is scored based on his best six races. The points earned in those six races are combined to result in that driver's total points for the series. The highest points total wins the series event.

You do not have to be a club member to race in the point series at RCR.

Awards

At the completion of each event, awards will be given for the top three finishers in each class. The top three finishers will be recognized with trophies/plaques that will be handed out at the final race of the series.


Classes

Each series will offer the following classes of competition; 1:8 scale Buggies,
1:8 scale Truggies, 1:10 scale Stadium Trucks and Monster Trucks. A driver may
enter as many classes as he wishes.

Everyone is Welcome

Points series racing is a lot of fun and really has a way of earning respect
as a driver that can perform at the top on a regular basis. We encourage
everybody to come run the points series.

You also don't need to be concerned about running a points series race if
you haven't started the series from the beginning. The points races are open to everybody.
